More than four decades after Pigus Drunkus Maximus was first recorded, California Locos founder Dave Tourjé created this limited-edition jacket to commemorate the definitive 2026 reissue of one of Los Angeles' most influential underground records.

Personally designed by Tourjé, the jacket pays tribute not only to the band's legacy, but also to the culture that helped shape the early Los Angeles punk and blues scenes. Having played alongside members of the Rhythm Pigs before the band was formed and counting Top Jimmy among his friends and mentors, Tourjé approached the project as an act of cultural preservation rather than merchandise design.

Inspired by Jimmy's signature long black jackets, the silhouette was developed specifically for this project, combining classic workwear with premium American craftsmanship. Constructed from heavyweight Made in USA black denim and fully lined for comfort, every detail was carefully considered to create a jacket worthy of the band's enduring legacy.

The artwork is equally personal. Tourjé reimagined the original pig illustration from the Rhythm Pigs' first concert flyer into the official emblem featured throughout the 2026 reissue. The design is embroidered in premium high-density thread with a large back graphic and a matching front chest emblem.

To elevate the jacket beyond traditional apparel, Tourjé designed exclusive solid silver pig-head buttons for this edition. Inside, each jacket features an embossed leather California Locos leather label bearing Tourjé's signature, the production year, and its individual edition number.

Only 42 jackets have been produced, making each one part of a highly limited collectible edition. 9 jackets remain of the collection.

More than a jacket, this is a wearable piece of Los Angeles music history—a tribute to Top Jimmy, the Rhythm Pigs, and a generation that helped define the city's underground music scene.
